These ear pads are designed to enhance the acoustic personality of your headphone, revealing new, exciting sound nuances. The angled shape creates more space inside the ear pad, which translates to an airier sound signature, with cleaner bass and improved presence in the mid-range frequency. Made of soft foam coated with Alcantara, with a fine protective mesh on the grill, our angled ear pads provide increased wearing comfort for most ear shapes. These ear pads are compatible with all Elite and Empyrean models.

It never ceases to amaze me how much of a difference pad-rolling can make to headphones. Such is the case with the Meze Angled Alcantara pads which I use on the Empyrean (OG). This is one of those tweaks where one cannot fail to notice the positive difference in soundstage, airiness and detail. The difference redefines how a warmish headphone can sound, akin to a change in amplifier but at a fraction of the cost. My chosen pairing with the Burson Soloist XP amplifier together with a silver hybrid cable now produces a truly impressive sound. A 10/10 upgrade which deserves a high recommendation.
