ABOUT EISA
EISA is the unique association of 54 special interest magazines and websites from 27 countries. Internationally known for the Expert Imaging and Sound Awards, EISA started in 1982 when the editors-in-chief from five European photo magazines came together to select “The Camera of the Year” for the first time. They had no idea that out of this meeting EISA - the European Imaging and Sound Association - would emerge some years later. This historic moment took place in 1989 after another 10 photo magazines had joined the group in the meantime. Every year, the EISA Awards celebrate those new products that combine the most advanced technology and desirable features with class-leading performance. The EISA Awards extend from the most affordable, high-value products to the most aspirational expressions of modern consumer electronics. Award categories change from year to year, reflecting the evolution of product design and connectivity, but every EISA Award winner remains the very best in its class. The sheer strength in depth of EISA’s members ensures the EISA Awards logo carries tremendous
weight with all informed consumers.
THE JUDGING PROCESS
Based on their own reviews and tests throughout the year, each member magazine nominates an initial short-list of products that best reflect the star performers in their particular Expert Group(s). All these individual recommendations are collated into a master list before the merits of these products are discussed in detail, and in person, by the members of each Expert Group at EISA’s Awards Meeting in late June. The final voting takes place here and all nominations are kept strictly confidential.
In 2022, Meze Audio’s Elite received the EISA Best Product distinction in the High-End Headphones category, then in 2023, 109 PRO received the same award. We are thankful beyond words to all the people who took the time to listen to our headphones and deemed them worthy of this valuable distinction.
