Jonathan Östlund
Jonathan Ostlund studied Composition in Sweden - under the artistic guidance of Prof. Rolf Martinsson, Prof. Jan Sandstrom, and Prof. Sverker Jullander - and has so far completed approx. 90 works, including several orchestral pieces and a Piano Concerto.
His works are performed and appreciated worldwide. Recent highlights include the 'Public's Choice Award' during the Final of the Oslo Grieg Festival; First Prize in the Leicester Symphony Orchestra Composers' Composition; selection as Finalist in the Composers’ Competition of the Festival Mondial De L’Image Sous-Marine; selection in the 'Most Distinguished Musician' category & awarded a Special Mention for his Symphonic Poem 'Ethereal Night's Ascendance' during the IBLA Grand Prize - along with premieres of new works in: Austria, Germany, Greece, France, Norway, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.
In 2016 he released the double CD 'Lunaris' [Divine Art] to critical acclaim. He has collaborations with top international musicians and is currently preparing the World Premiere of his Concerto for Piano & Symphony Orchestra, along with writing his Concerto for Violin & Symphony Orchestra, works which will be featured on an orchestral double CD release.
